1. Canada Day at the Petite Fire Hall – Thanks to the PR VFD, we will have a GPACA table with membership sign up, petition, lawn sign pick up, tshirt sales and possibly a community engagement opportunity. The event runs from 12-4pm and we would love to have a couple of people running it. If you are interested, let me know and we can set up a schedule (ie. 4 one hour long shifts, 2 two hour shifts, etc).
2. Twist of Fate/Caribou Run dance at the fire hall –
We need 2 folks to work the door (be there just before 9pm and sell for an hour or so). We need someone to help another volunteer BBQ sausages outside during set breaks…to feed the hungry dancers!
We are also looking for someone to feed the band supper before the show – nothing overly fancy, pre-made lasagna/salad/dessert kind of style. More details available – send me a note if you are interested (food supplies provided).
3. Outreach Volunteers – We would love to have a group of folks to call on to represent Petite for the Future at community events (ie. West Dublin market on Saturdays, fire hall breakfasts, etc) to sign up GPACA members, gather petition signatures, sell tshirts/lawn signs/buttons, raise awareness, etc. If you enjoy socializing and have an interest in promoting Petite for the Future and our thriving community, please let me know and I can pass along specific events that need coverage over the summer months.
4. Administration – At times we need help with the background pieces – things like data entry, research, writing, etc. These roles can often be filled on your own time, in your own home and always with communication and support from the GPACA team.
5. Photographer – Looking for someone who can take high-quality photos to be used online, on posters, brochures, etc. This would be on an as-needed basis for events, etc.
6. Videographer – Similar to the photographer, we are looking for someone who can create short (2min or less) videos. For example creating a video of the upcoming concert, community meetings, events, voices from the community, etc, etc.
7. Meeting Go-ers – Attend SSRSB meetings to be an ear in the room, reporting back any findings and sharing insight into discussions had.
8. Letter Writers – Write a letter to the SSRSB and the Minister of Education. Follow that letter up with a phone call.
