We are an active group of community members working on community building in Petite Riviere and surrounding areas. Our area served includes all communities that fall within the catchment area of Petite Riviere Elementary School.
GPACA was formed to ensure Petite Riviere Elementary School stayed open when it was threatened with closure in 2018. That fight was won! GPACA continues to support the school and the community at large in accordance with our mission statement: To facilitate the development and sustainability of cultural, educational, and community-development initiatives in the Greater Petite Area of Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia.
